First, Barr running as a Libertarian seems to be a conflict with stated positions of his in the past.  He was very much for the war on drugs, against gay marriage, against abortion, etc...  Has he really changed his positions to be more in line with the LP or are his positions; past, present and future, just positions of political expediency?

Secondly, what does this do for the chances of keeping Obama and Hillary out of the Whitehouse?  I am no fan of McCain, and as much as it pains me to say it; he is better than those two, and apparently better than Barr with his wishy-washy positioning.

Why, in a country with as many millions of people as we have, are we able to only come up with the slate of candidates that we have.  The candidates are lame and are liable to make us a lame country when elected.  Where are the right people?
